Leroy Hudgens, Jr., was born on July 18, 1943, to the parentage of Leroy Sr., and Johnnie Mae Hudgens. Leroy was the third child of six children. Leroy was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and was raised in Dallas, Texas. Education Leroy was a talented and wise person. He attended Julia C. Frazier Elementary School, and later, Madison High School and Booker T. Washington, where he graduated in 1962. Leroy as a Person Leroy was a generous, kind person, so full of love. Full of life, he lived his life to the fullest. He was a good provider and a sharp dresser. Leroy was a very funny person. He was the best comedian and loved to keep people laughing. Leroy was called “Chicken Man”, because he ran track, and they said he ran like a chicken. Leroy was also called “Little Leroy”, because his daddy was “Big Leroy”. Christian Life Leroy sought a hope in Christ at the early age of six years old. He attended Bethlehem Baptist Church for 12 years. He then became a member of Willow Grove Baptist Church, where he was a faithful choir member and steward of the Word of God. He was a member of East State Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Kennedy Young. Accomplishments Leroy was drafted into the Army in 1967, and served his country. He was later employed at LTV, where he retired after 48 years. Leroy is survived by his wife, Hazel Hudgens; his four children, Kimberly, Trent (Lee Ann), Marcus, and Britanny Hudgens; two sisters, Mae Dell Bryant and Patrishia Zeno; two brothers, Donald Earl (Denise) and Rondie. He was preceded in death by his brother. We would like to thank a host of grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.
