ROSETTA THOMPSON

May 27, 1952 - December 4, 2021

Our cherished mother, Rose E. Thompson, was the youngest born daughter to Aaron T. Carter and Annie M. Carter in Coolidge, TX on May 27, 1952. Her early childhood years were spent in Coolidge until moving to Dallas, TX and receiving her education in the DISD school system. She would go on to marry and then birth three children. She would also become known as “Mama Rose” to many more children. She was a hard-working, dedicated employee to WW Grainger for more than 20 years before retiring in 2016. Rose was a loving mother and grandmother. She was also a member of Gospel Tabernacle Church. Rose was preceded in death by both parents, Aaron Carter and Annie Carter; one son, Willie Thompson; and one brother, Johnny Aaron Carter. She leaves to cherish her memories; one son, Bobby Thompson of Arlington, TX; one daughter, Tametra Thompson of Lancaster, TX; three grandsons, D’andre Thompson, D’ante Thompson, and Dashawn Rogers, Jr.; three brothers, Herman Carter, Billy Carter, and Delray Carter (Chante); three sisters, Ann Stiles (Carl), Dorthy McKnight, and Mary Gaut; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, greatnephews, many friends, and family who loved her.
