TSEHAYNESH KASSA

November 16, 1939 - January 21, 2022

Tsehanesh Tegegne Kassa passed away peacefully on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Methodist Richardson Hospital in Dallas, Texas with her family by her side. Tsehaynesh Tegegne Kassa was born on November 16, 1939 in Gondar, Ethiopia to her parents Tegegne Kassa and Eniyesh Semegne Agoualu. Tsehaynesh grew up in Gondar, Ethiopia. She married Amare Gelaw Kassa, in 1966 who preceded in death a year ago. They raised their children together. Tsehaynesh received her Diploma Certificate in accounting from Commerce and she worked in Bahir Dar Textile factory as Secretary and PA to the Finance Manager and other departments for over 40 years and then after retired, She moved to Dallas, Texas and started living with her children and grandchildren. Tsehaynesh’s greatest joy was being a caring and wonderful mother to all her children and grandchildren. She was devoted and proud mother for all and who was always present. She was an outgoing person who truly enjoyed connecting with others and always took a genuine interest in the lives of the people she knew. Tsehaynesh is survived by her Daughters: Meseret, Tigist, Addisalem & Eden AND Sons: Wossen, Yohannes & Temesgen and 13 Grandchildren and numerous extended family members and of course countless friends she met and remained close with over the years. Tsehaynesh will be remembered for her persistent grace, strong will, caring nature and determination against all odds. She is a role model for her children and will be most missed by her entire family, relatives and many great friends. What a legacy! The Service and visitation will be held on Thursday , January 27, 2022 and Friday January 28, 2022 from 5:00PM CDT at Debre Mhret St. Michael Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo Cathedral, Garland, Texas. Mass Prayers will be held on Saturday morning, January 29, 2022 at the same church followed by the Burial service at 11:30 AM CDT at Restland funeral home, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243.
